From the first showing at the National Hot Rod show at Masterton in 1984 the Almac 427SC has been in continuous production.

Almac Cars are now manufacturing the body and the chassis plus supplying all the parts to build the 427SC.

Body
The original concept of bonding in the floor and bulkheads to the outer shell has been proven to give a rigid structure that retains its shape.

The body is supplied with floor and front and rear bulkheads, front inner guards and boot all bonded in.

There are steel beams moulded into the body, a front frame to support the doors and steering column and a rear frame for the seat belts and the door latches.

Side intrusion beams with hinges and door locks are fitted in the doors.

Double skinned boot and bonnet are fitted and hinged.

The front and rear frames which are bonded in the body are bolted to the chassis, enabling the body to be fitted and removed ensuring the same fit every time.

Chassis
In 2022, the chassis was upgraded. The current Almac chassis retains the strong ladder frame but the front and rear suspension updated to take modern components.

The ladder type chassis retains the 100 x 75 RHS main rails with the front and rear completely redesigned to take the new suspension.

All brackets for steering rack, suspension, seats, seat belts, radiator and engine and gearbox mounts are fitted.

Rolling chassis
The front suspension comprises of Almac wishbones, adjustable for castor, camber and toe with Corvette style spindles and hubs.

Front brakes are 322mm rotors with 6 pot Wilwood calipers

Coil over shocks are adjustable for rate and ride height.

A manual steering rack is fitted.

The independent rear suspension utilizes the drive train from the 2015-on Ford Mustang, differential, uprights and hubs, axles and rear brakes. These are all new from Ford Performance.

Almac manufacture the wishbones and control arms which are adjustable for camber and toe.

Coil over shocks are adjustable for rate and ride height.

The rolling chassis option is supplied with all the parts to get you started with the basic mechanicals in place ready for the next stages of build.
